The Shelter Project Hounslow (TSPH)
Hounslow Evangelical Church is a venue for The Shelter Project Hounslow, a charity set up to provide night shelter for up to 15 men nightly throughout the winter months. We provide accommodation on Wednesday nights throughout February and March. The men are given an evening meal, a bed and a cooked breakfast . All the guests have been referred to the project by local authorities and other agencies.
This year, due to ill-health, we will be staffing the project at St. John's, Isleworth, during this period instead of on our own premises.
The Olive Branch
The Olive Branch is a collaboration between a small group of Hounslow churches, including HEC, and a local charity, Homeless in Hounslow. The Olive Branch is a drop-in centre and runs every Saturday from 4 p.m. - 6 p.m. in the basement of Holy Trinity Church, High Street, Hounslow.
We want to be a place for the churches of Hounslow to offer the love of Jesus for the disadvantaged in our community in a very practical way. This includes food, warmth and shelter, a place to wash, laundering of clothes, and spiritual support for those who want it.
Please see Alan Dodd for more information.
We also support the food bank at St. Paul's Church, Hounslow West, and have regular opportunities to make a donation of tinned, dry and long-life food to this work.
